Fake populism

 At the core of We The People is an authentic populist movement: Americans, speaking from their native environments, actively participating in their democracy by openly declaring their deepest, most authentic beliefs. This is the opposite of the manufactured, spoon-fed populism of Fox News that repeats a platform of lies long in order to brainwash their viewers into believing it is all their idea in the first place. The latter is used to undermine democracy. The former is used to distribute democracy by emphasizing the individual citizen and their convictions in ways that elicits participation and ownership. In WTP, ordinary Americans finish each other’s sentences, connected invisibly by a set of values that allows them to retain their individual expression at the same that it guides them toward a unified party platform
